BYOC Camp Enrollment Process

Enrollment for Winter and Spring Sessions are open now

Enrollment for Summer Sessions will open February 1, 2023

There are three different types of camps - Explorer, Apprentice and Engineering.

Explorer Camps

Explorer camp sessions are best suited for students who want to try different technologies, students who have not taken tech classes, students who are not sure they will like tech classes but want to try.  Students can start the Explorer classes as young as 9 years old.  We are working to offer these classes to 8 year olds this summer.

Apprentice Camps

Students who have a high level of interest in the Explorer camp sessions during the Fall/Winter/Spring sessions and are 12 years of age or older are eligible to apply to the Apprentice camps.

Apprentice camps are for students age 12 or older who aspire to the Engineering camps.  These youth should have a high interest in learning the science involved in computer technology. This is a stepping stone to the Engineering camps.  Apprentice students will need to demonstrate their interest by engaging in the science and successfully completing the Apprentice projects.

Engineering Camps

Engineering camps are for students age 12 or older who have a high interest in learning the science involved in computer technology. Student will need to demonstrate their interest through their participation in the Apprentice camps or their completion of the orientation session.

Transformational

BYOC is a transformative experience for many campers that has changed career trajectories.  We believe that it is important to attract young people to STEM early through fun and creative ways. BYOC creates an environment that values creative and intuitive minds where the culture of STEM can thrive.

Past participants describe their experience in BYOC as life-changing.  Here's a quote from the parent of one camper:

"Camp BYOC has been phenomenal for my daughter. She is really strongly considering a career in technology and enjoys the time she gets to spend learning this new language."
