Explorer Summer Camps - Ages 8 and 9
Simple Machines and Basics of Robotics-101
Students will see motors and gears in action. Students will get an understanding of robots and how they relate to machines and will have lots of hands on experiences. Students will see how machines and robots are impacting the world today. This class is structured for younger Explorers.

Monday - Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Intro to Robotics and Scratch Coding -101
This session focuses on circuits and robots. Students will put circuits together and see them work. They will also learn to code using Scratch (an introductory way to start coding). They will leave with an appreciation of basic robots, circuitry and computing. This is structured for younger Explorers.

Intro to Web Development and Graphics - 101
This session focuses on learning to create a website, the elements of web design and graphic design techniques. It is structured for younger Explorers. With hands on projects students will experience a taste allowing them to experience what it is like to create digital art and a web page to display that art.

STEM FUNDAMENTALS 110
Students will get an overall picture of the world of computers. Students will be exposed to several facets of technology and will get hands on experiences.
Ages 10-17
- Computer Technology - the components of a computer
- Simple Machines - understand motors and gears and how they apply to robotics
- Robotics - understand what robots are
- Computer Math - binary
- Coding - scratch and intro to python
- Data Science - how data is compiled and analyzed
- Vocabulary - common terms used in computer technology
- Disciplines - technology careers - similarities and differences

This session focuses on computer automation using a Raspberry Pi.
Students will learn how to use a Raspberry Pi computer to create code and set up automation projects with sensors and other devices. Students will gain insights into the hardware inside and the flow of data.
Students will leave with new knowledge of computing technology and experiences creating devices that will ignite more curiosity.
